Indie Post- Notoriously Morbid, Part 2

My apologies for the lack of posting. Big Things have been happening, and I’ve been really stressed recently. I could blog about them if you like, but that’s not why you’re here. Probably. Anyhow, as I stated in my last review of Notoriously Morbid, I was making an order from them as I tried to finish off the review. That order arrived yesterday, and I figured in my attempt to turn this into an all-Notoriously-Morbid-all-the-time blog, I might as well do up a quick review while putting off writing a big review for something else.

Speaking of “all Notoriously Morbid all the time,” I may have gotten a coupon code with this order. And I may or may not be planning what I want to do with it right now.

In case you’re wondering, I pointed out some issues with international shipping in the Etsy store. That may be why I got the coupon code, or it might be because I’m a blogger, or maybe because I have awesome hair. (Probably not that last one, But a girl can dream of having good hair and getting discounts on makeup.)

Swatches! From the left, swatched over Pixie Epoxy, Too Faced Shadow Insurance, NYX Milk, UDPP, and GOSH Velvet Touch Eye Primer. I have too many primers maybe?

So here is my arm! From the top, we have the four full-sized shadows I ordered (13 Black Rainbows, Kilgharrah, Jupiter Rain, and Noble) and the two free samples I got (Mystique and Snow Queen’s Return.)

13 Black Rainbows to Jupiter Rain

13 Black RainbowsOnce I got the sample of this from the blogger package, I knew I needed to own it. Black with so many ridiculous rainbow sparkles, I can’t even believe it. If I had to choose a sparkly black shadow, this would be it.

KilgharrahThe one taupe I had to have. This is my taupe. It’s got a lovely shiny green duochrome on the go, which is probably why I love it so much. Now I never have to buy neutral eyeshadow again. That’s how it works, right?

Jupiter Rain The proceeds from this eyeshadow go to RAINN, so I had to buy it. Now, not only do I have a beautiful teal with a little eensy bit of gold in, I also did A Good Thing. Seriously, it is a good cause and a very pretty colour. I highly approve!

Snow Queen's Return to Jupiter Rain

Snow Queen’s Return to Jupiter Rain

Snow Queen’s Return One of the free samples I got. This is a really interesting eyeshadow, and I took many photos without being able to capture it. On bare skin, it basically makes the skin shimmer fuchsia. No idea how to wear it, but it’s really unique!

MystiqueMy other sample- although I got the reference, I didn’t order a full size with this order. Kinda regretting that. This is an interesting medium navy colour, with a silvery sheen to it. Although I didn’t get a photo, it blends well with Jupiter Rain.

Noble the real reason behind this order. I have issues with Doctor Who since Moffatt became showrunner because feminism this and things that are not makeup that and it’s all on the internet if you want to read opinions from people who have said it all better than me. Before he took over, though, I watched religiously. Donna was my favourite companion, yet I find her and Martha missing from most Who-themed makeup collections. Rose is alright, but I can only really justify so many sparkly pinks, you know? If you include Donna and Martha in your collections, I will buy them. Just saying. Anyhow, Noble is quite pleasant. It’s a browny orange-ish colour, with a very very slight gold sparkle. I can see this one getting a lot of use as Halloween approaches. And also when it’s over.

Here is my face.

I’m not going to do the full review again, because I am still very satisfied. Seller communication is great, packaging was nice (got black tissue paper this time), nothing leaked, nice colours, and so on.

I do plan on making another order in the future. There are new lip balms which, even though I have too many lip balms, I sort of want to try out, so that might be my excuse. Also that coupon is calling my name.

Up next, a review of Madd Style Cosmetics’ newish beauty box!
