Yes, I know, I’ve been taking ages to post. Actual worst. On the bright side for me, I’ll be moving in a month or so, and once all that’s done I’ll look into a more regular posting schedule. Unfortunately, until then, I’m trying to save dollars and also not ordering a lot of things in case they arrive at my apartment after I leave, so I’ll be posting new hauls less often. I’m going to try posting with the things I already have, though. (Also, I’m sitting on a few orders right now, so I’ve got a few posts left in me.)
Alright, so this is a long-overdue review. Ellie from Dreamworld Hermetica sent me a bunch of stuff to review in the summer, and I’m only just now getting around to posting it. I was waiting until she put the eyeshadows back up on her site after reformulating some of them, and then I forgot and took a bunch of naps. This one is pretty picture-heavy, so if you’re on a slow connection, it might be time to get up and make some tea while it loads.
Alright, so, full disclosure- I was sent these samples for free because I am great and my blog is great. (I’m sure there’s some other reason, but I recently realized I’ve got more than 100 followers and I am going mad with power. MAD, I TELL YOU.)
So, in a recent gift exchange, my giftee sent me some lipsticks from BeautyBarBaby. I had been considering purchasing some, and was waiting for a sale. (The best sale, it turns out, is when it is free.) In my previous review, I found their eyeshadows more than satisfactory, so I was kind of excited to try out their lipsticks.
Recently, the owner of AFK Cosmetics sent me some samples for review. By the time I got around to swatching them, she had closed down her shop so she could move. Oops. Today, however, they’re open for a flash sale, so hurry if you want anything, since the shop will be closed for a while longer.
This might be a 100% lip gloss blog soon, at the rate things are going. Fierce Magenta recently sent me a little care package of free lippies, since one of her new colours was really close to a custom colour I asked for that was out of the realm of possibility and also she probably won’t stop sending me free stuff until I move and refuse to give a forwarding address.
If you read relatively regularly and obsessively mentally catalog every detail of my posts instead of just looking at the pretty swatches, you’ll remember that I mentioned that in my last order from Alchimia Apothecary, she forgot a lipstick sample in my package. When I let her know, she was overly apologetic, but I let her know that it was cool if she just sent it with my next package, since spending the ridiculous amount to send a lipstick sample is foolish.
