Whoof. I’ve been working on a big post that needs a bunch of time, so something more is coming. Before I get started on this month’s unboxing, I’d like to mention that Jaiden from the comments pointed out that maquillage_savant on Instagram put up a bunch of photos that indicate that My Beauty Addiction is quite possibly repackaging on shadows they claim are their own creations. On repackaging, personally, I’m cool with it (have you seen what TKB charges to ship to Canada, holy crap) as long as you’re open about it. MBA has a bunch of shadows that they claim are the basic micas, and others with nothing on them, which leads you to believe that the others are their own blends. I knew a lot of the stuff on there was private label, but I thought I’d mention it in case that’s your sticking point.
Whoomph, that’s a hell of a title. At any rate, here’s my review before the month is officially out.
Alright, so I’m firing off a quick post before I jet off to America for Christmas. Hopefully when I get back, I’ll have a few more packages to review. MBA recently announced a beauty bag subscription, and I’ve generally not hated their products, so I gave it a whirl because I do miss having a beauty bag and they have a super wide variety of products on their site.
Hello, internet makeup friends! First, my apologies for not posting as much of late. I was ridiculously busy, and then when my schedule cleared up, I found myself where I currently am- housesitting, where the only computer I have access to runs Windows XP. As a result, I don’t exactly have access to my regular photo editor program or usual fonts. So, you know, if you read my blog for the font choice, sorry. But let me know if there’s anything weird about this post in the formatting, and I’ll try to fix it.
As some of you may have gleaned, I tend towards… interesting colours in my eye makeup. I realized relatively recently that while I own a lot of red eyeshadows, I have yet to have found a true red eyeliner. So, like any responsible person does when picking out products that could mess with their sensitive eye chemistry, I went on Etsy and picked out the first one that had halfway reasonable shipping to Canada. Addictive Cosmetics sells a variety of products, so I ordered a bunch of samples along with the eyeliner because I might as well.
I ended up skipping the review for Madd Style’s December box, but it was nice enough and on time so I continued my subscription. I just got this month’s yesterday, so back to being responsible!
If you order makeup on the Internet, you may be familiar with samples. They come all the time with pretty much any order I make. One day, I saw someone who got a lot of beauty boxes selling little bags of samples, and I got one. I’ve been adding to it, and now I think I’m finally ready to go on ahead and try some stuff out. I figured I might as well review it, despite not knowing anything about what I’m doing.
